Pressing Add to Cart button twice for an item does not increase the quantity

This is intentional, so buyers can't unwittingly increase the quantity of an item they'd already added to their cart. As with nearly all online shopping carts, buyers can edit their item quantity in the cart before checkout, if you tick the box to Let buyer edit quantity in that product's settings.
