Do buyers need to install anything to download my product?
No.

How long is a download link valid?
Download links expires after the set number of hours and set number of downloads that you configure for that product in E-junkie admin.

What is the name of the file that is downloaded?
If the name of the file you upload is shorter than the name of the product, we will use that filename; otherwise, we will base the download filename on the product name. Make sure that when you upload a file, it has a valid extension (like .PDF, .EXE, .DOC, .ZIP etc.), or else the buyer will be unable to open the file.

Can the download link be used from anywhere?
Yes. It's not necessary for the buyer to download the product from the system which was used to make the purchase. We do not bind the download link to a specific IP address or machine as that only increases the customer support cases for merchants.

Where do I store my products? Can I store them on my own server?
Your products are stored on our server. However, if you want to store your own products on your server for any reason at all, you can just specify the URL of your file while adding the product in E-junkie admin. You will see that option by pressing the "more options" button. This service is only available for accounts which are subscribed to a $18 per month or a higher plan.

How secure is my product on your server?
All the products are stored in a folder which is not publicly accessible. The only way to access your product is through the secure download link sent out to the buyer after a successful payment. This download link will expire after number of hours and/or number of downloads specified by you.

Which file formats can I upload?
You can upload any file format. E-junkie delivers the files as it is. It is advisable to upload your files as compressed (ZIP or SIT files), but it is not necessary at all. You must ZIP your file if your file extension is .perl, .php, .cgi, .pl or .conf.

My product consists of multiple files. How can I upload that?
You can find about that in the help section here.

Can I reactivate expired download links?
Yes. You can do that from E-junkie admin.

I uploaded a file for a product which I want to remove. How do I do that?
When you upload another file while "editing a product", it will overwrite the existing file. If you want to remove the file altogether, you can only do so by deleting the product. If you want to keep the product but free up the disk space, you can upload any dummy 1 KB file to overwrite the existing file. You would only want to do this if you no longer need to provide the original file for download (e.g., if you no longer need to offer the download component of the product, or repointed the product to use your own, remotely-hosted external URL for the download).
