Is there a maximum size limit for files I can sell with E-junkie?
- If you are uploading your product file to store on our server as a download, our uploader can handle up to 500MB maximum size per file;
- If you are using our Remotely Hosted Downloads feature (available for digital-product plans starting at $18/mo or higher), where you configure your product with a Remote Product File URL to the file's location on your server (rather than uploading the files to ours), our system can stream up to 2GB maximum size per file;
- Bear in mind that any download is only as fast as the slowest link in the network route, which is usually the buyer's own ISP connection -- e.g., a 500MB file would take several hours, and a 2GB file would take a day or two, to download to completion over a 256kbps basic residential DSL connection;
- For such large files, you may wish to consider using our SwiftCD integration to have them automatically duplicate your file data onto a CD or DVD and mail that disc to the buyer for you on-demand whenever an order comes in.
