A Google spokes person was quoted saying the service "enables you to place ads in print publications, allowing your advertising to reach an audience that's targeted to the demographics and topics you choose." Graphic ads are allowed as well. The spokesman also confirmed that Google was considering selling print ads in two Chicago newspapers. The new service would enable AdWord users/advertisers to purchase ad space in papers and magazines thru the Goggle's AdWords service.
The new beta service allows an advertiser to choose a particular publication by demographics like Geographic location, circulation details and Keywords. The Ads can contain both Text as well as graphics.
The new service is not open for signup and membership is through invitation only at this time.
