Microsoft readying challenger to Google Base and Craigslist

Posted on December 1, 2005, 12:22 pm by E-junkieChef under News

Microsoft is planning to integrate the new service, code-named Fremont, with other Microsoft products. Typical uses of this technology would be alerting a buyer or a seller thru his instant messenger when someone has responded to their ad placed on Fremont. Other rumored features include an ability to restrict who can view ads posted by a user. The restrictions can apply to a user’s buddy list or can be applied based on email id or geographic location.
