Microsoft readying challenger to Google Base and Craigslist

Typical uses of this technology would be alerting a buyer or a seller thru his instant messenger when someone has responded to their ad placed on Fremont. Other rumored features include an ability to restrict who can view ads posted by a user. The restrictions can apply to a user’s buddy list or can be applied based on email id or geographic location.
