Yahoo integrates PayPal in Yahoo! Stores

PayPal and Yahoo have announced the integration of PayPal into Yahoo stores on their respective blogs today. Yahoo will be adding payment thru PayPal as an exclusive mode of payment on their shopping site.

PayPal an eBay company had recently made moves to acquire Verisign's payment gateway service. PayPal is being used as the primary means of payment by nearly 80% of eBay users. PayPal has had a successful partnership with apple to manage their payment processing for the itunes store. In recent months PayPal has been pushing for wider acceptance of its service by other sites towards this goal PayPal has been working with Dell to offer its service as a means of paying for purchase from Dell.

The recent move by Yahoo only strengthens PayPal’s position in the payment processing market.
