This final presentation is a summary at a time when our friends are interested in becoming a Baha’i. Many last questions come up about a variety of topics such as laws, Holy Days, our Central Figures and Administration. What we do in our Core Activities and how they are organized. Understanding celebrations, our Feast, the Fast, the Baha’i calendar to mention just a few. A must have compilation to answer those many last minute questions.

Baha’i Principles:

Here is a colorful presentation of the most fundamental teachings of the Baha’i Faith. Come and engage in conversation on how we strive to rise above divisions and prejudices and instead become servants to all of mankind. Many of these solutions have become common day acceptance, several of them will soon find their rightful place. Some of them are the Oneness of God, mankind and religion. Religion must be the cause of unity. Solutions to a universal peace. Independent investigation of truth. Women and men are equal. Religion is progressive and evolutionary. Importance of elimination of prejudices of all kind. Harmony between science and religion, a universal education, global standards, the abolition of extreme wealth and poverty, obligation towards community and work. It shares the importance of Baha’i consultation.

Becoming a Baha’i:

This presentation allows us to discuss the many aspects of becoming a Baha’i. We start off by answering “Why did I find the Baha’i Faith?”. Then a special prayer for a new Baha’i and a summary of “You know you are a Baha’i when…”. I very often start with this slide to share what we stand for. Then we cover topics such as “what happens when we feel spiritual” and “can I become a Baha’i even though I am imperfect”. Why do I need to register and do you have baptism? Do you have a Holy Book like the Bible? What are some of the Central Figures I hear you mention? Tell me more about the Covenant and Conventions. What are Local Spiritual Assemblies and what do they do? Some laws and obligations. Authoritative vs Individual interpretation or more on interpretation and legislation. Baha’i Holy Days such as Naw Ruz, Ridvan and Ayyam-i-Ha. What is a Feast and why do you fast? How do Baha’is spread their Faith? Women in the Baha’i Faith and do Baha’is have clergy or priests? Can I still belong to my church and I want to celebrate Holy Days with my families. More about the fund and giving. What is the meaning of the ring stone symbol? How do you bury your dead? The Baha’i calendar and who else is a Baha’i that I might know? What are some of the Baha’i Core Activities and what do we do in a Study Cirlce? Some Baha’I resources on the Internet.
