If you ever wanted to take your wildlife photography to new, exciting levels, and didn’t know how, my exciting new e-book may just be the answer. In 2015 my book, Creatures of the Night, was published by New Holland Press, an international publishing company based in Australia. As a companion piece to that book I had planned on doing a modest CD/DVD that explains how many of the images in that book were made. Well, as usual, I went much further than that, resulting in this new e-book.
There are very few good books on flash photography, especially as this applies to wildlife photography, and none that also includes camera or flash triggering systems. This e-book gives an extremely thorough treatment of flash as it applies to wildlife photography, both in TTL and, most importantly, in Manual Mode. I truly believe that to really make great flash photographs, you must understand the how’s and why’s of exposure, flash duration, ambient light, flash placement for lighting, and more.
Flash is necessary to freeze action, but it is often the camera/flash triggering devices that enable you to catch that peak action. This e-book explains how these triggering systems work, what you need to know, where you need to place one, what type to buy, virtually everything you need to know to do great work.
This is a practical guide, not a catalog of equipment or a bunch of fluffy text. My goal in my photography is to get the job done, to capture the action or the subject in the most efficient method possible, using whatever gear that is practical and works. After reading this e-book, you too will be able to take the type of photos you’ll see in this well illustrated and motivational ebook.
