Tesla Turbine Engine Plans!
Here is a section of the intro:
"One of the great lost engine, Tesla's long neglected turbine is due for a revival. It's a simple model making project: no pistons, so no close tolerances! And it runs on air or steam!"
These plans are based on the Engineering reports of the actual engine Tesla built for a New York power company. As steam from the nozzles spirals between the disks its drag spins them.
Rotor assembly is the heart of the turbine which consists of 18 metal disks spaced apart on a shaft.
Plans include:
- Detailed descriptions
- Many 3 dimensional drawings of how parts fit together.
- Precise drawings which includes all measurements.
- Labels of all parts
- Pictures of how the engine is made. Excellent pictures of the machining of parts. Shows how to setup the lathe, etc.
- Complete Materials List
Looks like a fun project! If you like this one, check out my other steam engines and projects in my store! Have fun!
