Birds will flock to this oasis in hot weather. The simple form consists of two templates, used individually, pivoted on a carriage bolt. The smaller template shapes the convex clay form. It is then removed and the larger one is attached to the bolt. The template is roated to form the outer bowl shape and give a uniform thickness.
