PLANS FOR MAKING THE MODEL BOAT RC 37" HYDROPLANE MISS SUPERTEST
Format:
These techniques are in Adobe pdf format. I include a copy of the freely downloadable Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Along with digital images of the entire plans (over 4 feet wide) I have included a collection of sections of each larger image so that you can now print out regular 8.5" x 11" pages and paste together if needed. Otherwise, you would find this large image is impossible to print on normal printers.
Description:
You are bidding on a customized plan of a replica of the famous Canadian racing hydroplane "Miss Supertest." This was not a kit boat but was instead built by the famous Roger Newton. I scaled down his plans to make the same boat except it runs on electric power. The famous Newton authenticity is still there.
These plans are actual size so you can easily use them as templates to cut your materials.
The pictures on this auction are taken from a completed boat made from these plans. The boat in the picture has two motor turning two Dumas brass props. It was constructed with aircraft grade plywood and has a fiberglass interior.
The Canadian "Supertests" took the Harmsworth Trophy from the US in 1959, 1960 and 1961. She also won the Silver Cup and the St. Clair International.
This boat has high speed electric motors, forward and reverse speed control Futaba Radio. With these plans yours can be as fabulous!
The boat measures 37 inches long with a 16 inch beam.
