The very first step to getting REO's and getting in with the banks is to start doing BPO's. Typically, when you complete a BPO on a property, if the property is an REO, the agent who completes the BPO usually gets the listing. It's that simple. I completed a BPO on one property, and ended up getting 5 listings from the same bank, on properties that I did NOT do BPO's on because I have built a relationship with the bank. All from a BPO that I was paid to do! If you wonder how some agents have 10, 20, 30+ REO's . . . its because they started and continue to do BPO's!
