As our world rapidly shifts and changes in our modern era of technological advances, social unrest and upheaval, environmental breakdowns, nuclear weaponry, and electronic wizardry, many have wondered about the prophecies of the New Testament on the Bible that are casually referred to as 'The End Times', or 'Revelation', that being the name of the book where the preponderance of doomsday followed by utopia prophecies exist. Some see portions of these prophecies occurring in our own present and feel they have already begun. Further, many are convinced that, again, as per the Biblical prophecies, the return of Yeshua ben Joseph, Jesus the Christ, is imminent.

Two thousand years ago that same expectation was present in a small group of people in the Middle East. They longed for the appearance of their savior. Their king, the one who would overthrow the powerful Roman yoke that they lived and labored under. Their prophecies foretold the arrival of this Messiah, and right on cue he made his first appearance not in the luxury of a Queen's nursery, but in the humble straw of a manger.

Even though their social circumstances demanded a king, a warrior who could best the legions of Rome and grant independence to the Hebrew nation, they were never to receive that supernatural king and leader.

Instead, the Messiah they did get performed charitable, benevolent miracles, and taught about a god, the 'Father' that lived within him and without him as well. He exhorted his closest followers to live by his example and also perform miracles, which, for a time, they did. But no matter how hard his own people tried to force this amazing entity, with such awesome, demonstrable power into the role of leader and king – he would not submit to being anything other than a simple carpenter's son who had discovered that the nature of God was not a fearsome, angry, politically motivated super-being...but everything...including himself. This he lived and taught openly.

So, what if the seven seals of Revelation were opened, and the cataclysms began? What if the current cycles of human history and evolution, which began with the sudden, unprecedented advent of Sumerian civilization 8,000 years ago, changed? Changed, or evolved to the same degree that it did when mankind went from a tribal, hunter/gatherer type of society to a specialized, urban, economic society?

What if all the words that Yeshua spoke were true? Not the few sayings that were edited, rewritten, and then sanctioned for the masses by the Emperor Tertullian 1700 years ago that most Christians still believe in today, but the more direct, and substantially greater in volume texts that have surfaced recently, thanks to the efforts of archaeological science. What if all the words of the Bible were true...but only when understood from a vastly different perspective? What if the challenge that really lies in our near future was more awesome than a simple earthquake, or governmental corruption and tyranny, or depletion of environmental resources, or even nuclear annihilation? What if the challenge had to be engaged and overcome inside each and every person? What if the Second Coming of Christ and all of the prophecies of Revelation happened? But this time he came 'like a thief in the night', and not some heralded super-general in the sky to save some, and kill many...but individually, in each heart, mind, and soul of each person? What if that was the imperative – learn and practice the true teachings of Yeshua, raise the Christ within, and live forever – or reject God one more time in self...and die the final death...in consciousness...forever?
