The Idea behind this guide:
As Black People we are all too often bombarded by the myths of what we can’t or don’t do. Quiet as it is kept, people of color have always been at the fore front of history setting trends, changing lives and mastering the art of turning nothing into something. Among the stereotypes and media misconceptions you can find black leaders, role models, humanitarians, parents, and business owners who strive to promote positive images for People of Color. With the holiday season at hand, I decided to create this catalog in support of quality creations made for and by People of Color. By choosing afro-positive gifts for our friends and loved ones we can each give the gift of financial support to the Black Business Owners in our community. Within these pages I hope you will find not just gifts, but tangible examples of black pride, black family values, natural beauty, urban excellence and style.
