Several years ago, there came a time when a lot of those experiences that would normally span decades in an average lifetime, all coalesced during a twenty one month span in mine.
At a relatively late age I fell in love, and got engaged to be married for the first time.

Also at a relatively late age, I began to have some chart success as a songwriter and performer.

At a relatively young age, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The whirling intensity of the emotional peaks and valleys of that time eventually became a short book, entitled “21 Months of Cin (How Songs are Born)”.

I have tried to share with the readers my wife Cindy’s and my experiences during the period with as much clarity and honesty as I can muster. It was definitely my intent to show that there is a life to be lead after a cancer diagnosis. It can sometimes be scary and sometimes sad, but it’s just as often courageous and joyful.

Perhaps you have, or know someone who has prostate cancer. Or, perhaps you’re just a songwriter who is curious about experiences that would move another writer to write. Or maybe you’re just a hopeless romantic.

I’m all three, as you will see if you read the book. I hope it gives you a bit of insight, a laugh or two, and a renewed sense of belief in the endless possibilities that life has to offer.
