You'll go to Admin > Cart discounts, create unique codes with use count set to 1. You can create 10,20, 100 .. as many as you want. Make sure you note down each code you create. Now, you can have a list of codes and you want put them us for sale. I just implemented this on our site, and I did a test purchase of the gift certificates to see how the system worked. Everything went fine, and I received a discount code by email. Then I used the discount code to "buy" a couple of downloadable items from our store. Since the discount code covered the cost of everything in the cart, I went through the E-Junkie cart. Upon finishing the purchase, I landed on the E-Junkie page with download links, and I was able to download the products. But there was a problem. I never received the "thank-you" emails for the downloads that I purchased. When a customer buys something using a discount code, do they still receive the "thank-you" email?
