A customer just brought a situation to our attention that has me a little confused. When a user adds an item to their cart in our store, enters their shipping zip, then clicks 'update cart' they are shown their total. However, when they click the 'checkout' button, the total is higher when they reach the PayPal page. It seems to be consistently adding $2.50.

We are charging shipping, but not handling or sales tax. Any idea why this would be happening?

That will be due to the shipping rules you have in your PayPal account. PayPal recently messed up shipping for a lot of accounts when they launched their "new" shipping and migrated old style
"overridable" shipping rules to the new style.

Please remove those and it should work as earlier.
