Resend Email To Buyer

For the Resend Email To Buyer function:

1 - how long is it able to go back in time?

2 - does it also send one to me as it does when it is created - since i have it setup like that? (can that be added if not)

3 - will it be the exact same email as the original? or is it an email based on the current email text and titles etc? i change the email text and titles now and then.

4 - im guessing it inserts the code just like it did before right?

thanks

As I understand the process, the "resend thank-you email" looks up a transaction ID you provide, determines which Item Numbers were purchased in that transaction, and sends a current thank-you email for those same Item Numbers as if the buyer of record for that old transaction had just purchased those same products right now (including the copy to you, if that's how the product is currently configured). This means it cannot resend emails for deleted products, nor can it send previous versions of the email for a revised product.

May Robin strike me down if I am mistaken. ;^)

I will need a for-sure answer instead of guessing. There is not test fucntion on this and I don't want to mess with customers trying to figure it out.

lemonbar1 - how long is it able to go back in time?

There is currently no limit on that

lemonbar2 - does it also send one to me as it does when it is created - since i have it setup like that?

Yes

lemonbar3 - will it be the exact same email as the original? or is it an email based on the current email text and titles etc?

It will be based on new text. The "codes" will be same. If you are selling files, then they will get the new files.

lemonbar4 - im guessing it inserts the code just like it did before right?

Yes, they don't get a new code though.

Ok thanks.

One suggestion would be to have the re-sent email use all of the original captured info in the variables, such as purchase date, time, etc. It seems to use the current date/time and not sure what good that is especially since the purhcase date and time are already captured.

[%p_date%] (Payment Date) is replaced with payment date.

I'll see what can be done about current date variable

Little confused here...

Date: [%c_date%] [%c_time12%]

So I can just use [%p_date%] and [%p_time12%] instead and that will pull the actual payment date and time that was captured?

If that is the case then that is all that is needed.
