PayPal has posted advance notice of enhancements to their service scheduled to roll out overnight from 9-10Jul08; hopefully this will go smoothly without any adverse incident, but if you notice anything weird going on with PayPal around that date and time, it's probably due to this rollout in progress during that period.

Shipping Matrix Fixes
---------------------

This fixes existing shipping address issues for Website Payments
Standard and Express Checkout.
Sellers are required to pass the Address1, City, and Zip code fields
for US addresses.
Non-US addresses require the Country field as well.


Buyer Experience - API
----------------------

This enhances the Express Checkout flow in the following areas:

- Display tax and shipping information earlier in the Express
Checkout flow.
- Display shopping cart details in Express Checkout flow (similar to
Website Payments Standard).
- Provide shipping carrier and tracking information.


Direct Payments / Recurring Payments Enhancements
------------------------------------------------

This improves merchant experience and brings parity with VeriSign
Payment Services Recurring Billing product.
To take advantage of these improvements, merchants must update their
API integration. This enables them to do the following:

- Set separate start dates for trial and regular payment periods.
- Update total number of payment periods for both trial and regular
payment periods if the trial payment period has not completed.

Aggregate optional amount, aggregate amount and final payment due
date fields are not returned when merchant obtains profile details.
