Additional d/ls

Hi - can someone kindly explain the process to provide someone with additional d/ls?

This is not for expired d/l links, but someone purchased more copies of my product than there are d/l links provided. How to furnish them with extra links? Again - the original links have NOT expired...

Thank you!

When a buyer orders more than 1 of the same download product, we issue only one download link to the buyer and simply take the usual number of Attempts you allow for that product and multiply it by the quantity ordered. This prevents any question as to whose link is whose, which ones have expired or had what number of Attempts made on them, etc. The person receiving the link is expected to forward that link (e.g. by forwarding their thank-you email) to whomever else should get a copy of the download.

Note that we do NOT multiply the link-expiration Hours setting, so you may want to use that to place an absolute time limit on how long the link is valid regardless of how many permitted Attempts have been used.

Thanks for the reply.

Still do not understand how to do this.

You said:

Well, the usual # of attempts I allow is 5. So is this to say the buyer is getting 45 unique links? I don't think that is what heppened.

They buyer purchased 9 copies of one product. According to them, they only have five (5) d/l links.

Can you please explain in detail how to get them four more links?

If the buyer places a single order for 9 units of a Single File Download product which normally allows 5 Attempts, then that buyer will be issued a single download link which is good for 45 Attempts (5 Attempts per unit X 9 units ordered). That link will expire after that number of Attempts have been made, or after the expiration Hours you set for the product have passed, whichever happens first.

I am not sure what your buyer means about having 5 links, unless they ordered 5 different products or a bundled product (which you'd configured using the "Package files from other products" setting) that issues links for 5 separate files? Or maybe they ordered 4 products and got a thank-you email for each product plus a common thank-you email for the whole order? Or maybe they placed 5 separate orders in a row for the same product? We could investigate and see what exactly is happening there if you could email us the Transaction ID of the buyer's order(s):
