In "Customize Your Thank You/Product Download Page" in admin, should I add the same html code for each product. If the user puchased 5 different items within the same checkout event, only one of these pages could be display after the user completes the paypal transaction. Right?

There is one thank you page. It will include HTML for all the products purchased. You can enter common HTML for the whole page from Admin > Preferences, if you don't want to enter HTML for each product's thank you page, all of which will be included in the thank you page for a transaction which has multiple items.
