For example... I want to sell 500 books so the counter starts at 500 and then reduces (publicly visible) as people start buying until the limited quanitiy sale is over and people may no longer purchase. Can this be done somehow? Also... Extra functionality that I would like is when taking payments through PayPal, that I only will sell those 500 books if 500 people buy, so there is no money actually taken until the 500th person makes the purchase and then all payments are finalized and procesed. Thanks! # POSTED ON: March 17, 2011 @ 17:14 GMT -7 |

You can use our Inventory Control feature to limit how many units of a product are available: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.inventory.htm However, we have no way to show the remaining stock available on your site; perhaps you could use our Integration feature to notify a custom script at your end whenever a sale is made, so you could maintain a matching stock count at your end, which could then be displayed on your page: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.integration.htm We do have a setting in your Seller Admin > Payment Preferences to "Only Authorize" payments without actually charging them until you settle the payment manually; you should probably test this with PayPal to ensure it works as you require, and contact PayPal to see how long they can keep pending payment "on hold" before they might cancel it. # POSTED ON: March 17, 2011 @ 18:50 GMT -7 |

If you are looking for developers to help with customizations that go beyond our normal cart features, you can find some that are experienced with our service here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/developer-directory.htm As for the PayPal settings you describe you should be able to handle those directly from your PayPal account itself. # POSTED ON: March 18, 2011 @ 17:10 GMT -7 |
