I was testing the final "order processing flow" with Google Checkout and I ran into a snag. On the final page of Google Checkout the confirms the order has been processed, there is a line that says. Your order has been sent to (Website), Return to (Website) The hyperlink for the “Return to (Website)….” is directed to an e-Junkie page that says: (Website) e-commerce powered by e-junkie <http://www.e-junkie.com/> ™ http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/spacer.gif http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/spacer.gif http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/spacer.gif http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/spacer.gif Please check your email for further instructions about (Product Name) Sometimes spam filters block automated emails. If you do not find the email in your inbox, please check your spam filter or bulk email folder. Please contact xyz@xyz.com if you do not receive the email. This is good information for the consumer, but the problem is that there is no link for them to get back to the (website). Even I was confused for a minute. A casual consumer would probably hit the back button several times (big mistake) trying to get back to the (Website). Finally, I entered the URL in the address bar to get back. Two questions… 1) Is it normal behavior to have the “Return to (Website)…” link on the Google Checkout page go to e-Junkie? 2) If this is normal (and I kinda like it), how can I get a link on the e-Junkie page to get back to the source website? # POSTED ON: November 5, 2007 @ 17:33 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: November 5, 2007 @ 18:23 GMT -7 |

Yes, that is normal. There are a couple of things you can do. You can have your own thank you page (on your site) or you can customize the e-junkie thank you page. Depending on what you want to do, please see "redirection" (http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.redirection.php) or "customization" (http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.customization.php) section in the E-junkie help page. # POSTED ON: November 5, 2007 @ 17:35 GMT -7 |
