Hello, I realize that e-junkie offers the ability to send a buyer an email and for that email to be customized to include receipt-type information (price, invoice number, dates, etc.). We have a number of business customers who need a more formal receipt. I've used some online stores in the past that sent me a .pdf receipt that was formatted beautifully. I'm sure it was automated because it arrived within seconds of the purchase. I want to do the same thing for my customers. When they make a purchase, I want to automatically send them a .pdf receipt for their purchase. I imagine there would have to be some integration between the data that e-junkie and paypal collects and the receipt generator. Is this possible with e-junkie? Has anyone done it? I'm assuming a 3rd party may do it with an API and I wonder if integration would be a pain. Any thoughts? Thanks. ~Lee # POSTED ON: March 6, 2009 @ 15:03 GMT -7 |

You can have order data for each transaction sent to a custom script or a third-party service using our Integration feature: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.integration.htm # POSTED ON: March 8, 2009 @ 12:44 GMT -7 |

I'm still looking for an automated way to provide customers with a printable (pdf) receipt when they purchase. I understand that e-junkie provides the means with the Integration feature, but I'm having a hard time finding services that will do it. Does anyone use a service that does this? ~Lee # POSTED ON: September 9, 2009 @ 15:10 GMT -7 |

Will it be OK if we have a "download receipt" link on the thank you page? # POSTED ON: September 9, 2009 @ 16:20 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: September 9, 2009 @ 16:21 GMT -7 |

Yes, I think that would be great. As I mentioned in the original post, we have a lot of customers that expect/need a more formal receipt for the transactions that they can save, print and give to accounting. I'm not sure if I understand how you'd implement it, but here are some suggestions to take or leave: The customer obviously needs the receipt, but I think it could be useful for the seller too. Perhaps there is a way for the seller to access all receipts so we can provide them to sellers after the purchase, if asked. I think the Thank You page is a good place to offer the receipt, but I'd also suggest having a link in the email they receive after the purchase. This way they can access it later without trying to get back to the thank you page. I've seen some versions of these automated receipts that also include a handy link to download the seller's W-9 form for tax purposes (another thing our business customers ask about). It would require an e-junkie interface for uploading the file, etc. Of course it's up to you, but I think downloadable receipts are a feature that could be an asset for users like me. Cheers! # POSTED ON: September 9, 2009 @ 16:51 GMT -7 |

Sending PDF invoices to customers would be absolutely useful since some customers need formal receipts for their tax offices. Text Emails dont usually look formal and particularly e-junkies doesn't provide a way to place a list of products sold in the thank you mail which is crucial for a receipt. As stated, the most ideal facility is send it as a PDF. As a suggestion for implementation, can you provide a basic HTML template facility with the current e-junkies tokens already defined to populate it plus of course the list of products and then convert this to PDF and send as attachment to the thank you email. Look forward to see this feature. Thanks # POSTED ON: December 9, 2010 @ 12:14 GMT -7 |

I agree that would be a very valuable piece. Are there going to be updates soon to E-Junkie? # POSTED ON: December 22, 2010 @ 01:55 GMT -7 |

I can only confirm that our Development team is constantly working on upgrade projects of one sort or another, many of which should roll out all at once with our new HTML-based Admin interface as soon as that's ready for prime-time, with others to follow on a more frequent ongoing basis since the new Admin itself will be much more conducive to our modification needs. We cannot promise how soon any upgrades would happen or when this particular request would be implemented, as Development keeps their plans and progress pretty close to the vest. Formal announcement of any new features going live would be posted to our Service Status and Updates forum here: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/forum/6 ...and if you're into RSS, we have a feed of updates to that forum available for your RSS reader here: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/xml/rss-forum-6.xml # POSTED ON: December 22, 2010 @ 17:27 GMT -7 |

Really look forward to your HTML-based admin. I can imagine why you could be reluctant to develop for the flash version. Recently wanted to use e-junkies in iPad, but naturally could not because of the lack of flash. It would be great if we could in the future. There are many features that come to my mind, and as I have suggested some of them before, so simply cannot wait for the HTML version and the subsequent rapid introduction of new features, hopefully. # POSTED ON: January 3, 2011 @ 12:19 GMT -7 |

I haven't heard any news about generating PDF invoices, but Development runs the show here and tends to keep their plans pretty close to the vest, so we probably wouldn't hear anything about it unless and until it's actually ready for action. For now, we'd regard it as being still just a wishlist item as far as we know, possibly a work in progress at best. That said, I recently posted a Tips page explaining how to customize your E-junkie-generated thank-you pages to resemble an invoice that buyers could save or print if they wish: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/tips.thankyou-page.invoice.htm # POSTED ON: August 30, 2011 @ 14:46 GMT -7 |
