Hi-
I'm going to be selling a group of audio files and would like to offer both mp3 and .wav formats for the buyer. A simple zip of the folder makes it around 460MB.

My question: Is that to LARGE of a folder for those on slow internet connections to download? I know on my high speed connection it would take under a minute but not sure of slow connections. I read somewhere that the USA national average is like 116mbps.

It's always best to keep in mind that any download will only be as fast as the slowest link in the network route, which is usually the buyer's own ISP connection.

That said, a 460MB file is not terribly large by today's standard. Even on a slower connection (around 20-25mbps) it would likely only take a few minutes to complete that download.

You can always use a download time calculator to estimate how long it would take a buyer to download your file, considering that many areas only offer residential broadband up to 1.5–3 Mbps.

Is there a maximum size limit for files I can sell with E-junkie?
