How to Use E-junkie: The E-junkie Transaction Log

As we have said in the past E-junkie is a simple, do-it-yourself, style setup.  While we do not provide our users with a deluge of detailed reports we do provide the Transaction Log.  Which provides all the information on each order and can be customized.

To access the Transaction Log for your E-junkie account, just click on the Transaction Log option on the Seller Admin page:

Once the Log loads you will notice there are a few drop down menus.
  • Product
  • Sort By
  • From Date
  • To Date
  • Affiliate

The menus allow you to pare down the log by those specific options.  You can look at just one product if you want, sort by the Payment Date or Processed Date, Set the Date Range you want, or search for just sales connected to a specific affiliate, if you are using the Affiliate Program feature.  Once you make your selection from those menus, if you want to, click the View Log button to see the log. (By default it will always show all sales for all products, for the past month by the payment date)

The order data that we include is:
  • Payment Date – the time stamp from the payment processor
  • Processed by E-j – when the order reached our server from the payment processor
  • Transaction ID
  • Payment Processor
  • E-j Internal Txn ID
  • Payment Status
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Payer E-mail
  • Billing Info
  • Passed Custom Param – if you have a custom parameter setup
  • Discount Code – if a discount was used on the order
  • Invoice
  • Shipping Info
  • Shipping Method
  • Shipping – the shipping amount
  • Tax
  • eBay Auction Buyer ID
  • Affiliate E-mail
  • Affiliate Link Type
  • Currency
  • Item Name
  • Variations/Variants
  • Item Number
  • SKU
  • Quantity
  • Amount
  • Affiliate Share (per item)
  • Download Info
  • Key/Code (if any)
  • eBay Auction ID
Not all of these columns are going to have data in them for each order.

You can just use the transaction log if you want, but you can also Download the Log to your computer using the Download Log button:

If you download the log you can then open it in any spreadsheet program, like Excel or Numbers.  And from there you can create more specific reports using the tools within the spreadsheet program; but please keep in mind that you will need to do the setup in the spreadsheet on your own.  If you download the log there will be a couple of the columns above that will not be there, the Shipping Method and Affiliate Link Type.  However, the downloaded log has 16 other pieces of data for each order, including phone number if it is collected, and VAT data:
  • Payer Phone
  • Card Last 4
  • Card Type
  • Payer IP
  • Shipping Phone
  • Payment Acct Country
  • GeoIP
  • Digitals Country
  • Digitals VAT
  • Tangibles Country
  • Tangibles VAT
  • Item VAT Rate
  • Item VAT Country
  • Item VAT Type

The Transaction Log will give you data about all your transactions and will allow you to keep track of everything.  You can also, if you wish, setup your E-junkie account so our system sends order data to your server and then write your own code to display the order info however you want, but they will require that you write your own code to accept the data and display it.

Do you have a question about using E-junkie?  If so, please email our staff at anytime by using this link and we will get back to you as quick as we can.
